I am getting ready to schedule liposuction to remove the auxiliary breast tissue from around my armpits. It has been recommended that I get Renuvion in addition to liposuction to tighten the skin. . I am wondering if the Renuvion is actually beneficial or if the office is just trying to get more money out of me (it’s an extra $1800). Will the results be very different if I chose not to use Renuvion treatment?
Answer: Axiliary breast tissue liposuction Dear Fearless758740, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Axillary breast tissue liposuction with Renuvion - is the Renuvion actually beneficial? Renuvion, also known as J-Plasma, is a technology that combines helium plasma with radiofrequency energy to tighten and rejuvenate the skin. It is sometimes used in conjunction with liposuction to enhance the results of the procedure. The benefits of Renuvion in axillary breast tissue liposuction can include improved skin tightening and contouring. It can help address any loose or sagging skin in the treated area, which is often a concern after liposuction. However, the effectiveness of Renuvion can vary depending on individual factors such as skin elasticity, the amount of fat removed, and the specific technique used.Ultimately, the decision to use Renuvion in combination with liposuction should be discussed with a skilled plastic surgeon. They can assess your specific needs and determine whether Renuvion would be beneficial in your case.

Answer: Axillary breast tissue with what suppement Axillary breast tissue is classically composed of fat and redundant skin. Liposuction will help with fat removal but it needs to be supplemented with skin tightening intervention that can include a)Renuvion for minimal to moderate vs. b)skin excision for moderate to severe skin redundancy.

Answer: Renuvion Most women with accidentary fullness have a combination of accessory breast tissue fat and skin redundancy. to get the best results addressing the skin redundancy is needed. I used Renuvion for a year and literally saw no skin tightening whatsoever and none of my patients appreciated any skin tightening either. Honestly the only thing I noticed by using the device for the year was that patients had increased pain before and after the procedure. I don’t believe this device delivers enough skin tightening to be justified though there are plenty of providers who spent lots of money purchasing the device and are trying to recoup their investment. Personally I cut bait and sold by device at a big loss because I did not feel comfortable recommending it. My best guess is that you’ll find Renuvion to leave you disappointed if you’re expecting significant skin reduction and in the end there is no good substitute other than direct skin excision which can often be nicely hidden in the armpit. I’m sure other surgeons will have different opinions especially those who recently purchased the device. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
