If I do an upper lip lift, does that mean the lower lip will stretch upward to close mouth and so the chin will become longer?

To close the mouth after a upper lip lift, doesn't the lower lip have to "stretch up" to close the mouth? Won't that mean that the distance from the lower lip to the bottom of chin will become longer? I have a longish face. Ideally, I'd like to shorten both (1) the upper lip and (2) the chin. (1) will be easier that (2). But if I do (1), then (2) will be even longer, is that correct? Thanks for any insight.
