Will a lip lift raise the stomion? (photo)

The answer is that the upper lip is raised when the mouth is open.  When closed it's in the same place.  However lip lift is a powerful way to make the mouth more feminine and attractive.

 The subnasal lip lift will remove skin from the top lip, but only on the outside- the inside mucosa is left intact and thus not shortened. This usually results in more show of the vermillion lip as it turns out, rather than shortening the whole lip segment. Although it may initially feel that the lip and stomion is pulled higher, this will settle as swelling resolves and the scar softens. 
The lip lift can make a big difference to the lower facial third aesthetic in both men and women. You may find it useful to visit a plastic surgeon for a consultation and discussion on the result you could expect.
