The Grin Lift - Is this procedure new? (photo)

Question

I have extreme "resting [RS bleep] face". I have tried fillers, it takes so much filler to bring up my frown lines, it ends looking like I have gumballs near the ends of my mouth. I am 53 and I had one facelift already at the age of 42. Was hoping to hold off a little longer to the next one. I heard about the "The Grin Lift" as shown on The Doctors and also known as the corner mouth lift but can't seem to find any doctors in Florida who do this procedure. I appreciate your thoughts!

Thank you for your question. I perform corner lip lift procedures as a form of lip augmentation. Injectables are a great option to improve thin, wrinkles or asymmetrical lips. I suggest that you consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon.

The Grin Lift is a corner of the mouth lift. It is neither new or uncommonly performed. It changes the downsloping of the mouth corners to a more horizontal position. There are different variations of the mouth corner lift. Newer techniques keep the scars around the corner of the mouth more limited and better placed than older forms of this procedure.
