If you have more than one Cellfina treatment, your cellulite dimples should continue to improve. Cellfina is uses a microneedle to cut through the fibrous bands under the skin which cause the outside skin to dimple. One Cellfina treatment is recommended for most. However, some women have numerous cellulite dimples that can't be addressed with one treatment. In severe cases, a touch up treatment can maximize results.

If you have an extensive amount of dimples it is possible to need a second treatment but usually it is done once and the results last up to two years or longer. Cellfina is designed to be a one-time procedure. It is effective for distinct cellulite dimples, but does not improve skin laxity, stretch marks or horizontal banding. I recommend finding a board-certified aesthetic dermatologist who specializes in Cellfina. An expert in cellulite treatment will be able to work with you to develop a treatment plan to address your concerns.

It takes about an hour for the Cellfina system to cut through 25 to 30 of the fibrous bands that cause the dimples in cellulite. Looking at your skin and counting your dimples will give you a good idea of how long your treatment will take and if you need to return for another session. Once Cellfina has eliminated the dimples, your skin should look smoother for at least three years, possibly longer. It works by releasing the internal bands that cause the cellulite dimpling and so we have not seen any fat atrophy. You should not see much of a difference with weight gain or loss but this also has not been studied.

Other areas of the body with dimpling, it is important to make sure it is truly cellulite before treatment.

It is common to have swelling bruising and firmness after the procedure. This can last for a few weeks.

It is different than Cellulaze which is a laser. 

If you have had previous poor results with cellulaze, you can still do Cellfina.

Cellfina has shown 100% noticeable improvement and 96% satisfaction in all patients at 2 years. 

Cellfina is designed to be a one time procedure. 

It can be used on women with all skin types but caution should be taken if theres a history of keloiding.

It can also be combined with other treatments such as Thermi or
