Will Cellfina help dings & dents from aggressive lipo?

Celfina is designed to treat larger cellulite dimples.  You are describing a different problem with is uneven fat removal from liposuction.  A better option would be to fat graft the depressed or oversuctioned areas.  You may need subcision to release the skin from the underlying scar tissue.  I would suggest combining fat grafting with PRP to increase fat graft survival.Dr. John Burns, MDDallas, TX

Thank you for your question.  Cellfina is a cellulite treatment that works by targeting and eliminating fibrous bands that create visible dimpling (cellulite).  It is not the procedure of choice for liposuction revision.  In order to address your concern accurately and appropriately, I recommend a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine treatment options.  I also recommend that you visit your primary care physician or specialist managing your lupus and Hashimotos conditions to ensure that symptoms are well managed prior to undergoing any additional cosmetic procedure.

Release of the depressions from lipo followed by fat grafting and skin tightening would probably make more sense than Cellfina. I have found Cellfina to work well for fibrous bands in cellulite but have no experience with it with liposuction deformities.

Thank you for your question.Cellfina is an FDA approved minimally invasive procedure that reduces the appearance of cellulite for at least two years on the buttocks and back of the thighs of women.

It works by releasing the internal bands that cause the cellulite dimpling and so we have not seen any fat atrophy. You should not see much of a difference with weight gain or loss but this also has not been studied.

Other areas of the body with dimpling, it is important to make sure it is truly cellulite before treatment.

It is common to have swelling bruising and firmness after the procedure. This can last for a few weeks.

It is different than Cellulaze which is a laser. 

If you have had previous poor results with cellulaze, you can still do Cellfina.

Cellfina has shown 100% noticeable improvement and 96% satisfaction in all patients at 2 years. 

Cellfina is designed to be a one time procedure. 

It can be used on women with all skin types but caution should be taken if theres a history of keloiding.

It can also be combined with other treatments such as Thermi or

Ulthera if skin tightening is needed.

We have done Sculpsure and Coolsculpting if fat reduction is wanted, but its best to wait 3 months to see the results before proceeding.

It can also be done at the same time as other procedures such as liposuction and BBL or as a stand alone procedure in the office.

This is difficult to answer without pictures. If this is cellulite, it can be treated with a combination of cellfina and other treatments like sculptra, fillers, Thermi and Renuva fat matrix injections.  However, post liposuction irregularities need fat grafting or a secondary/revision liposuction procedure using VASER HI DEF.  Best, Dr. Emer.

CELLFINA is indicated for cellulite. Irregularities from liposuction can be treated with CELLFINA but may or may not improve. Irregularities from Lipo are best treated with more lipo and/or fat grafting. 

Thank you for your question. Cellfina is approved for the long term
treatment of cellulite by releasing the bands which cause dimpling. That
being said, unless your cellulite was made worse by the liposuction
procedure, I doubt it will be of significant benefit. 
I would
recommend seeking a consultation with a body sculpting expert. A couple
of possible treatment options would be BodyTite by InMode and ThermiTight. These
are both radio-frequency devices where a probe is inserted to the
target areas to melt fat and tighten the overlying skin. This minimally
invasive procedure is performed with tumescent anesthesia as your
liposuction was. These procedures are sometimes accompanied by other
treatments to smooth out the irregularities including Sculptra
Aesthetic, Fat Transfer, and Venus Legacy or BTL Exilis. Without
examining the areas it is difficult to give a more precise suggestion.As for your Hashimoto's and Lupos markers, unless you have active signs and symptoms of thyroid disease or a connective tissue disorder, these should not be a problem. You should consult with your primary physician if you have a concern.
