Should I get Sculptra for some volume in my buttocks?

Sculptra is bio-stimulatory and allows for some volume by stimulating collagen production. It is not the same as a Brazilian buttock lift which uses fat. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO 

Sculptra can improve the buttocks. The buttocks need numerous vials of Sculptra over time to build volume, and in some instances the results are subtle and will need to be combined with fat or implants to achieve desired results. I recommend seeing a body shaping expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Hello,Because of the way Sculptra is injected, there have been a lot of social media videos uploaded showing amazing, 'on table' results with Sculptra injected into the buttocks. Unfortunately, this is a fake out. Sculptra is a product that is injected with water that represents about 99% of the volume of injection, all of which goes away in 2 to 3 days. It takes 10 weeks to see the actual results of the Sculptra, which is usually much less than the volume of water that was initially injected. To get any visible results, at least 20 vials is recommended, and 40 is preferable. At a cost to the doctor anywhere between $300 to $400 per vial, you can see that just the cost of product is substantial, between $6000 and $16000. This doesn't include the doctors fee for injection, and is for a result that is temporary.  Because of it's relative simplicity, injections of Sculptra are being done by all sorts of 'clinicians', some of whom are very inexperienced. Always choose an ABPS certified/ASAPS member surgeon who is experienced with Sculptra.  If this sounds feasible, then it is definitely a good alternative to fat grafting. Best of luck!

Thank you for your questions. Buttock augmentation with Sculptra is a hot topic right now. In my experience, this procedure usually produces underwhelming results and requires a large monetary investments. If you truly have no other options (no fat to transfer and don't want implants), then it might be reasonable to try but do not expect marked results and limited investment. And as always, make sure you are seeing a plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Hope this helps!

You will be very disappointed as the results will be mild, last 2 years, and the treatment will be very expensive.

A Sculptra butt lift is meant to create more subtle augmentation than fat injections or implants, but still offers noticeable results in shape, divets, and more. I would recommend scheduling a consultation with an expert injector in your area to learn more!

Sculptra is generally good for small volume increase and thickening to the overlying skin. Works very well in areas like the cheeks and face. It is a huge stretch to think that you could achieve any type of reasonable or predictable improvement to your buttocks with Sculptra. Not only would it be quite expensive but with larger volumes there is a definite increase in complications including nodules and irregularity

Using Sculptra for a buttock lift or a Brazilian butt-lift is becoming more popular.  It does require quite a a bit of product.  While a course of treatment for the face may require 4-6 vials total, a buttock lift is looking at 15 or more vials total.  This can get quite expensive.  You may want to consider using PRP (Vampire butt lift) or a thread lift.  Good luck.
