Sculptra Butt Lift is a non surgical procedure and so there are very few medical contraindications to this procedure.1. Same contraindications to Sculptra in the face i.e. allergy to PLLA, keloids, auto immune skin conditions.2. Blood thinners- if you are on blood thinners, expect more bruising. I don't recommend stopping blood thinners without the approval of your prescribing physician.3. Cardiac issues. If you have an irregular heart beat or heart failure i would proceed with caution. I would use less Lidocaine in my Sculptra mixture to avoid any complications. Consult with your cardiologist before proceeding but I dont see why you wouldnt be able to have this procedure safely. Its certainly much safer than going under the knife with anesthesia in somebody with early heart failure.

As long as your heart failure is well compensated, i.e. you are not having symptoms of shortness of breath, difficulty sleeping while laying down, etc, I do not see a problem with having the Sculptra butt lift performed. The volume of fluid that is injected is relatively small (150 cc for 10 vials) and is absorbed slowly over 2-3 days. You may want to speak with your primary care physician or cardiologist in advance to make sure that they do not have any concerns. I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
