I am trying to understand the science of why "Peau d'orange" texture occurs at a cellular level. If any doctor could explain this thickened, pitted texture to me I would greatly appreciate it. I am unclear if it is an inflammation issue, a scarring issue, or has more to do with the ratio of damaged cells to healthy cells. Thanks in advance!

Answer: Classically this term was used to describe chronic changes in breast skin caused by breast cancer.
I suggest a formal consult some of your changes may have been from your pregnancy and may need a combination approach of peels, lasers and needling. Best, Dr. Emer.

It sounds to me like you may be having a reaction to the Kojic Acid. I recommend discontinuing the use of the product for now, and seek a consultation with an Esthetician to determine the best course of treatment for your skin type and concerns. good luck!
Chemical Peels will help you with pigmentation, acne, acne scars and some fine lines. The peels will not help with skin tightening or lifting sagging skin. Thermage will hep with sagging skin and wrinkles might benefit from Fraxel or from a liquid facelift. Best, Dr. Green
