Is there any way to remove fat graft beneath my eyebrows?

I had a fat graft about 5 years ago and had fat placed in my brow area. Since then I have been struggling with how heavy my brows look. I have gotten Botox to correct the sagging but I still have fat that protrudes there and I don’t like the way it looks. It also bunches up when I smile and I hate that. I have consulted the doctor that did the fat graft but haven’t been given any options. I’m including an older photo before the fat that I would like to get back to but don’t know if it can be done safely.

yes we have done this numerous times in our office using 5fu/steroid injections and sometimes kybella. I suggest you see an expert.  at home dermarolling helps tighten tthe area too (see link to emeragecosmetics.com recommendation for weekly treatment around the eyes).

The only way to try and remove fat injections in most areas of the face, the brows included, is microliposuction. This is done using the same type of cannula by which the fat was put in. It often helps but it may not get you back completely to where you were initially.

I’m not a big fan of facial fat transfer. One of the primary reasons is the difficulty of correcting outcomes that are undesirable.It’s very difficult to selectively remove just the grafted fat.Sometimes it can be done with Liposuction but this is just as likely to remove native fat as it is grafted fat and some areas in the face should not be treated with Liposuction because of potential injuries to other structures.Direct open excision is another option in some cases.I don’t think anyone is going to have a straightforward easy answer for you.This requires a thorough one on one discussion during an in person consultation.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
