Poor follow up. 6.5 months post op (dr ruined my face). Is my doctor not doing the usual follow up?

Iwent to a very respected plastic surgeon for my rhino.I look so ugly now though.He made me look so much worse than my previous nose.I’m ethnic.I guess because I when I’m there, He basically released me as a patient at my 6 month visit.We took photos at the 1 Week post op.But he hasn’t taken photos since then—despite saying that he usually does after the surgery.& that he follows rhino results for “years and years.”but he didn’t do this!He liedchanged his mind.Drs follow pts for 1yr right?

Hello,
Thank you for your enquiry. There is no strict follow up time and everybody does it differently. However, for rhinoplasty surgery, I follow up my own for 1-3 years because it takes over a year for the tissues to settle and most of my colleagues that I know of are doing the same. I think it would make sense if your doctor sees you again.
