My dermatologist recommends that I truly microneedling for sagging skin and some lines on my lower face. Is it worth the investment or would another treatment be better.
Answer: Collagen and Elasticity Microneedling creates small injuries to the skin, making the skin naturally heal itself, stimulating collagen and elasticity.

Answer: Micro-Needling Micro-needling or otherwise called 'Collagen Induction Therapy' can give a minimal tightening of the skin and enhanced production of collagen and elastin. The way that it works is by using a medical needling device, tiny needles pierce the dermal tissue which induces the release of cytokines and growth factors from the platelets. Cytokines are cell signaling molecules. There are a number of things that happen at this point but one of the more important aspects is that it will produce collagen and elastin synthesis. The collagen in the newly formed tissue is now replaced with even stronger collagen and the dermis contracts to create a more youthful and firm, but silky, supple texture to the skin. Many of our patients do regular treatments so they can enjoy the more youthful glow that their skin exhibits. However, micro-needling may or may not be enough to tighten the skin to your satisfaction and it would be advised to consult with a Cosmetic Surgeon who can guide you. I hope this information has helped you.
