How long should you wait between microneedling treatments? (Photo)

Question

Specifically: For a treatment of non-RF-microneedling, with application of a serum after treatment. I am 25, F, white, with sensitive skin, seeking treatment for mild to moderate rolling acne scars, enlarged pores, and general post-acne texture improvement. I previously had 5 fraxel treatments which did yield improvement and 1 microneedling treatment (no serums) which I tolerated well. I have been recommended to get 3 microneedling treatments. Pics have makeup but show texture reasonably well.

Microneedling is recommended every 4 weeks.  That allows the skin to recuperate before  it is injured again.  It is important to use your plasma to speed up the healing process as well as the production of collagen.  It will be well worth the extra cost per treatment.  We are getting amazing results with only a series of 4 treatments and then adding a good medical skin grade line of products for patients to use at home.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question about microneedling.It is recommended to wait 4-6 weeks between treatments. Although, if you are having a more aggressive treatment performed, I would suggest waiting 8 weeks between. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in
your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and
that it is safe for you to have treatment with

It's best to wait between 4-6 weeks for the best results. Depending on whether you are treating acne scars or deep wrinkles, it's best to wait a little longer to give the collagen time to rebuild.

It is recommended every 4-6 weeks or so. Our experience is that some people need more treatments if scarring is deeper or more involved. We use Eclipse Micropen and have had great success and reviews on the product.
