Massage after fat transfer?

It would be fine to massage in the jowl area since you do not necessarily want more volume in this area.  By three weeks time you should be close to seeing the final results once swelling has dissipated.

I suggest waiting 6-12 weeks before massaging after fat transfer. Swelling can last 3-6 months after fat transfer. Prednisone, icing, ibuprofen and venus legacy treatments can give improvement. I don’t think it is a good idea to massage areas that have undergone fat transfer. If the jowls where not part of the surgery then it would be okay. By the way massage would not relieve swelling resulting from grafted fat dramatically. Please do as your doctor recommended.
