Answer: Liposuction: results hello Bossgirl17 Liposuction patients can see results of their procedures as early as 10-14days after the procedure, but improvements continue 4-6 months afterwards as swellings and irregularities resolve. Patient’s scars will mature following surgery; they may be red or raised for the first few months, but after 6–12 months they will soften, lighten, and become less noticeable. Laser treatments available at the Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery can quicken the healing of scars and reduce them significantly. Numbness around suction area will improve a few weeks after the procedure; lumpiness will also decrease with time although massaging can quicken the softening. Incision sites heals gradually, within 6-12 months the scars will be generally very less noticeable. Excess skin would usually shrink back over the area of the body, liposuction is used to reduce volume not tighten skin. We now have a number of non surgical devices such as ThermiSmooth radiofrequency and VelaShape3 to help tighten skin after liposuction for patients who will benefit from this additional care. This allows us to provide our patients with the best results possible.

Answer: Concerns after liposuction Don't panic! Liposuction is a marathon not a sprint. There is a long period of swelling (6-8 weeks) and an additional period required for skin tightening (3-6 months) that need to pass before you can faithfully assess your result. Compression is important and there are many who believe lymphatic massage can assist as well. Good luck!

Answer: Liposuction Results & After care includes RF treatments (Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra) Cellutone/zwave, hyperbaric oxygen You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. However, based on your picture, you have some skin laxity and were not a candidate for liposuction alone, you should have had a tummy tuck at the same time. You may need a revision surgery to get desired results.See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Swelling after liposuction... Hi and welcome to our forum!Healing after liposuction takes a considerable period of time (6-12 months). Initially, swelling often makes the treated areas even look bigger (temporarily) than before surgery! I recommend watchful waiting until the swelling subsides. Discuss this issue with your surgeon at your next visit to ease your mind. Best wishes!

Answer: Lipo You are fresh post-treatment. You have to give it time to settle down. It can take about 6 months and sometimes longer for all the swelling to go away.
