I my buccal fat removal last year with Dr Lisa and I am ecstatic with the result. She was very professional and made sure my needs were met- I had an asymmetry in my face and she removed more fat on one side than the other. The entire process was quick and seamless.
Lisa Friederich is a phenomenal surgeon, the practice on a whole is remarkable. Lisa uses a client centred approach, she works for you and treats the individual with so much respect and compassion. I am a trans man and had been inquiring about a Double Mastectomy. From the initial email I was hooked, Loren had answered all my inquiries provided the best service. After meeting Dr Friederich at my first consultation I couldn’t have been happier, I felt listened to, I had all my questions answered, instantly I knew I could trust Lisa Friederich. I have met a lot of surgeons before Lisa including Meagan Hassel and Steve Merten with both I had left the consultation with more questions than answers, I felt talked over and disregarded. As well from a transperson point of view both the above surgeons use transpeople for profit, disregarding the actual needs of the individual. Both of them are incomparable to Dr Lisa Friederich. I had no worries at all going into to surgery. Post op I am so satisfied with the results as well as all the care Lisa as put into post op appointments to ensure we are both satisfied with the results. I can not recommend Lisa Friederich’s practice enough to everyone looking for Plastic & Reconstructive surgery.
Another surgeon had used a prothesis that was far too large for my size 8-10 frame. When I saw Dr Lisa Frederich, she immediately acknowledged that a D-cup on me was inappropriate, especially as I had advised the other surgeon that I did not want to be large. Clearly the other surgeon had erred in his judgment. By contrast, Lisa was kind, compassionate, understanding and professional - she listened! The procedure was explained intricately, right down to the surgical end where Lisa said that the breast pocket would be sewn to make the reduction feasible. Immediately before surgery, Lisa reassured me she would do all that she could to achieve my aim of downsizing to B-cup - and she did! The transformation was evident the very next day. To achieve my goal, Lisa removed my 350ccs, exchanging them for 205ccs.Tissue was even removed from my breast to effect the desired result. Finally, Lisa used Motiva - known as the 'latest and greatest' in breast implants. People are asking for this brand by name because of their reputation for being a safe implant. I thoroughly recommend Dr Lisa Frederich for this procedure. Given her level of integrity, I sense that she would be great at other procedures too!
After extensive research on fat transfer ( not many surgeons do this type of operation), I found Dr Lisa Friedrich online. Having already been through a mastectomy and reconstruction 10 years ago, I know a great surgeon when I see one. Dr Lisa is one of these gems. Dr Lisa was patient with all my queries , empathetic and genuinely wanted to do the best for me. She was even happy to answer queries by email and didn't charge for my second consult prior to the op. Speaking of charges, her rates are very reasonable and I've never been kept waiting for appointments. The operation went without a hitch and, while early days, the results are promising. Dr Lisa is approachable, friendly yet professional and is highly competent. She treats her patients with respect and works to high standards. Highly recommended.
After my initial consultation with Lisa, I knew I was placing not just my physical self, but also my emotional self in more than capable hands. I felt respected as we collaborated toward realistic surgical expectations and discussed what exactly would be involved in reaching these aesthetic goals together. I felt thoroughly informed and completely understood the procedures we would undertake, and the follow-up care plan that would be put in place post operation. Throughout the healing process, Lisa was always prompt in answering any queries I had and knew how to reassure me whenever I was unsure about the healing process. Choosing to work with Lisa to masculinise my chest has been the best decision I’ve ever made, and it was also one of the biggest decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve never felt happier in my own skin. I will forever feel a debt of gratitude towards Lisa and can never thank her enough.
Well words can not describe how happy I am with dr Lisa friederich I had a thigh lift surgery groin to knee cut last Friday What an amazing talented lady I had a extended tummy tuck 4 months ago with Lisa also Lisa has blown me away with the results of both my surgery’s Did not expect to look so good after loosing neally 40 kilos Cannot recommend her enough More than 5 star ratings that’s for sure
Dr Lisa is very knowledgeable and sensitive, she listens to your needs and requests and responds with detailed information and a tailored approach. I had buccal fat removal done with Dr Friederich and she was very gentle, patient and skilled. She listened to my desires for a conservative approach and did just that. The procedure was done in chair and was surprisingly tolerable! This is due to her skill and experience. Not to mention she’s lovely and makes you feel very safe and comfortable. I’m healing well and have not had too much pain. I wold definitely recommend her as a surgeon.
I wanted to share my experience with Dr Lisa Freiderich, after needing to have my implants replaced I researched many surgeons in Sydney and found Dr Lisa who I had a very comprehensive consultation with, explaining my options and alternatives. Dr Lisa was always open to my questions giving me confidence in the procedure. Dr Lisa helped me through the journey of replacing my implants, reassuring me all the way, and always making me feel at ease. I would definitely recommend contacting Dr Lisa for implants or other surgical or non surgical procedures. Dr Lisa was always happy to advise and help with any concerns. THANK YOU
I would like to thank Lisa Friedrich for an amazing job with my Breast implant replacements. I was recommended to by another surgeon who spoke very highly of her work. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and was very impressed with her professionalism and her kind and caring approach and attention to detail, making the whole process and procedure easy and uncomplicated. The end result was as natural looking as I could wish for and the recovery process was easy and painless. The breasts look and feel amazing, with 5cc silicon less than my original breasts which were both 10DD, but a slightly larger casing to give a softer, more natural look, that do feel bigger and look bigger and more natural. I can highly recommend Lisa for anyone wishing to have the same procedure and wanting a nice natural look and feel and I wouldn’t hesitate in using her again for any future cosmetic surgery. Sheryl
The surgery itself was far less painful than I had imagined, the worst part for me personally was from my low blood pressure and adverse reaction to anaesthetic and pain medication, which resulted in nausea and discomfort, for the night in hospital the day off surgery and for a few days afterwards. I was up and able to walk around on the second day and have slept fine and pain has been very low. It has now been one week since the surgery. My drains were removed today, I feel much better already. I would recommend taking a pain killer before you take go into the surgery to have them removed, and take some long deep breathes, it's really not too bad though (better out than in!) They were not even that painful being in, more just a little awkward and uncomfortable to navigate when moving around, sitting and sleeping. My chest is a little swollen as to be expected, but after Dr Friederich changed my dressings today and seeing my new bare chest for the first time was incredible, it already looks SO good and the scarring is delicate and far less dramatic as I had expected.
Hi, thanks for your pictures. Because a nipple areola graft is thicker than a regular skin graft it takes longer for a new blood supply to grow in. As a result, the top layer commonly 'dies', scabs or sloughs away, but the underlying layers heal. We usually leave any scabs in place and let the wound heal from underneath. In some cases the graft can fail, but there is often secondary scar that grows in which may look ok. I warn patients it can take up to a month before the grafts start to look healthy. It can be a prolonged process. One potential benefit of this technique is that it tends to flatten out prominent nipples. My advice is to let your wounds heal and then discuss any concerns with your surgeon.
Hi, Thanks for your question. In my experience I've only had one patient who has had a significant deflation of their breast tissue after commencing Testosterone. This patient still had excess skin as it had not deflated in line with the parenchyma. You may have more uptake if your skin is youthful and elastic. Testosterone will effect other changes in your body, such as increased muscle mass and body hair growth. My honest opinion is that it won't change your breasts that much. Top surgery is not just about removing the breasts, it aims to masculinize the chest- and the best visual clue for a male chest is a well developed pectoral muscle. You will need surgery at some stage, but Testosterone will help you bulk up your muscle for a better result. As you are likely aware, there are risks in taking Testosterone, and you should discuss all the implications with your endocrinologist.
Hi, You are still very early in your recovery, so i would recommend you wait a few months for your wounds and swelling to settle. Re the indentation on your right chest- this looks like the lower edge of your pectoralis muscle (but I am making an educated guess given I can't examine you). Breast tissue normally obscures this when present. This may indicate a thinner portion of your skin flap or an area of less swelling. Re the wrinkling around the areola- yes this should generally settle with time, it may not completely resolve. The bigger the breast the more skin needs to be removed. In a periareolar technique, this can mean that those with larger breasts have more gathering as the margins of skin excision are larger and bunch up more when pulled in to the new smaller areolar. In borderline patients who prefer less scarring, I now recommend a two stage procedure. The second component can be done in the office usually and is excision of the gathered skin with a little more skin if needed. This reduces the difference in diameter between the areolar and outer excision so there is less gathering and a better looking scar. The residual volume you see is certainly a lot of swelling, I have found that the lower breast pole is always slow to resolve. It may also indicate that you have more skin that needs excision. There is usually some retraction of skin in the first 6m after surgery. It is always difficult to predict. At this stage, wait and see how your scars and skin settle. You can speak with your surgeon about your concerns, but they will be unlikely to do anything this early. Good luck
Hi, Keloids can develop at any stage after trauma. Some people are predisposed to it because of genetics and race. There are other factors that increase the risk of developing a keloid such as slow or delayed healing and infection. Both of these keep the inflammatory process going longer than normal. If you piercing has healed up well, you may as well leave the earring in. You've already sustained the trauma of the piercing and so will always have a risk of developing a keloid. But you may not develop one at all!
Hi, thanks for your question and picture. As others have said, you will still have some swelling at this stage of your recovery. From the scar on your ear, it looks as though you have had a horizontal wedge (like a slice of pizza) excision which extends out to just above the pointy part you are concerned about, so more tissue was taken close to your cheek and less in the region at the end of the scar. This may all settle with time, but if it doesn't I think it will be due to remaining vertical tissue excess in this area. Follow your post op scar protocol, give your wound some time to settle, but then speak with your surgeon if this problem persists. Good luck
