Question

27 year old M. My skin tone is level 3. In College, I UV bed tanned for 5-6 mins (not 20 mins) several times to build color before summer to prevent sunburn on 1st exposure to the sun. I probably did this 30 times over the years. (once a week in the spring for a couple months). I quit when I learned that even though I reduced the session time to 5 mins, the UV doses still adds up. Should I see a derm Dr? I have 1 mole on my side/back that I have had for years. Does it look normal?

Thanks for your question.  It's not possible to tell from just a photograph whether a mole is normal.  If you have any concerns, please see a dermatologist for a formal evaluation.

I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Moles can be removed with laser, radiowave or shave. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
