Gaping hole after laser removal of closed comedone, how long does this take to heal?

I have a closed comedone below my eye which the doctor lasered then squeezed out. The scab fell off 3 days later and there's now a ugly red hole where my pore was. I called the clinic who told me it would take time for it to fill in. I am still worried, how long does this take to heal normally, should I apply copper peptides?

Fractional laser is an amazing and highly effective treatment in our office. We use the laser treatment to help with acne scars, large pores, fine wrinkles, tissue collagen loss, scars, sebaceous hyperplasia, active acne, and for brightening dark pigmentation. Although there are very strong fractional lasers such as CO2 laser, we use lighter treatments for corrective skincare and maintenance of results. Our Thulium fractional laser, clear and brilliant laser, and Ultra Thulium laser are excellent options in our clinic. We also perform CO2 fractional and erbium depending on skin tone and tolerance for downtime. Patients do have to use a Melarase cream before and after treatment to help further reduce pigmentation after laser. Dark spots can improve with these treatments. I recommend fractional laser for incisional scars as well, especially after plastic surgery.

I recommend following up with your Doctor about after care following your procedure. I recommend silicone gel with growth factors. Any scarring can be improved with lasers, microneedling/prp, subcision and fillers. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

I would strongly suggest that you see your doctor, "ugly red hole" can be an adverse sign. It is always better to be safe than sorry. Laser treatment does take time to heal from, the face heals faster than any other area though because of the oil glands. When the area is healed on the surface I would suggest using Silagen topical medical grade silicone products. See your doctor before using anything.
