The Emerald Laser looks like a re-branded reincarnation of the Zerona laser. I had this laser in my practice about 10 years ago and there was a lot of hype around it. I had the treatments myself and found that it did actually reduce some inches, but the 6 inches they are claiming is not from one area, it is from the total of all the areas added together. So you may lose an inch around your abdomen, some from your thighs, some from your hips, arms etc. They add all those together to get to the 6 inches. So yes, it does work but it is not as impressive as they make it out to be. The nice thing is that it is completely painless. When CoolSculpting came around, my customers quickly lost interest in this treatment and they felt that the cost was not worth it. I think they have a different cost structure so it may be more reasonable now. Ultimately we have gone away from the non-invasive technologies because patients are generally not that happy with the results, even CoolSculpting. Minimally invasive liposuction gives much better and reliable results so this is what we are recommending for our patients now.
