How effective is laser skin tightening on the stomach? (Photo)

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Thank you for your photo. Based on your photo I would recommend either SmartLipo or the SculpSure laser. The energy of the SmartLipo laser performs 2 essential functions: (1) it liquefies fat cells, making them easier to remove; and (2) it heats the skin in the treatment area, triggering a healing response that stimulates collagen growth, leading to smoother results than other types of liposuction. SmartLipo also tightens the skin whereas traditional liposuction does not. SculpSure is FDA- approved and highly effective in killing fat cells in unwanted areas such as flanks, abdomen, upper arms, thighs, knees, and other locations with fat deposits. The heating energy of the SculpSure™ laser also causes the production of collagen and elastin, the two necessary building blocks for youthful, healthy skin. Laser Lipo (SmartLip) does not work in everyone and the average improvement compared to regular lipo is 18% more tightness (not that much). In care case, it would not make a significant difference. See link below for examples. 

Unfortunately, it's not very effective and the darker your skin type, the less effective it is. If money and time are no object, you can give it a try, but expect to be disappointed. Unfortunately, for most people, the best results will come from an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck).
