Drainage massage after lipo+ bbl, yes or no?

Question

I had liposculpture + Dominican Butt Lift (commonly known as BBL) on june 7th 2017. Since then I have had 2 "Double" [essentially 4] massages. Now that I am home I am looking into local certified drainage massage therapists but came across a debate of massages. That being because, some drs believe it causes more trauma to the tender area & that the swelling goes away on its own anyways. In your professional opinion & experience, what do you think? Massage or not to? Thank you ♡ from Chicago

It really depends on what technique was used and who does the massage. With conventional liposuction techniques (tumescent) there is a lot of fluid retention and extra massages may be beneficial.I prefer to use WaterJet, there is much less fluid retention and two massages are usually more than enough.Make sure that whoever does it has experience with BBL aftercare, massage in the wrong place, for example grafted areas in the infragluteal crease, can be detrimental for your results.

Some doctors seem to think this is a good idea while others like myself don't.
So you'll get different opinions and I suppose you could tally up the votes or just pick any one of the doctors you seem to like the best and go with his or her recommendation.
The correct answer to your question is that you should follow the doctor Who did your surgery's post op instructions.
