The day of lipo - what to bring?

Thank you for your question! I would recommend that you wear something comfy and a zip up hoodie because it is easier to get off than something you would have to pull over your head. Also, there may be some leaking or drainage so I would recommend that you don't wear your best loungewear in case anything gets on it. You will likely want chapstick after waking up from surgery so I would recommend bringing that but you would not need lotion. Do not bring any valuables or cash. It is also unlikely that you will be listening to headphones, because you will have a recovery nurse that will be speaking with you as you wake up to ensure you feel ok. We hold most of our patients in our surgery center for an hour or 2 post procedure in order to monitor their nausea and pain before releasing them.
