Can Botox or Radiesse cause a twitchy smile?

It is common to have slight muscle twitching up to two weeks post Botox, but if this persists, make sure to follow up with you injector to assess if there is an underlying, more serious cause.

If this persists after 1-2 weeks I would speak to your dermatologist or plastic surgeon.  It is likely the muscle or nerve is just irritated in the area and swelling may be playing a role.  Best, Dr. Emer.

 You are concerned that you shake or twitch on the right side when you smile. It does not sound like anything went wrong with the injections. You should not do anything for 2 weeks and let the swelling and the sensations settle down. See the doctor in 2 weeks for a follow up visit if you still have these sensations.2 units of Botox is a very small amount for the crows feet.  I usually use 12 units on each side.  I don't think your problem is related to the Botox.
