In my opinion, a filler using hyaluronic acid is superior to a implant. When you change your appearance it is desirable to be able to increase or decrease the effect. It is totally reversible with HA. I do not recommend Radiesse for this reason.If you decide that you really like your new look, you can then try an implant.Good luck!

Thank you for your question.  Dermal fillers are a great way to accentuate the brows.  It is an advanced technique and the thicker varients of the dermal fillers (Voluma, Restylane Lyft) would be my preferred filler.

Dear ryanpj:I also like to use a hyaluronic acid in this area, as there are a number of nerve bundles that can be irritated by the granular particles of Radiesse.  I like to use a small, blunt-tipped cannula to avoid injury to any of those nerve bundles or their associated vessels, especially since for men it is very important to avoid bruising (men cannot cover up with makeup!)  I love Radiesse in other areas away from nerve roots, and the advantage of Radiesse is the duration and lifting ability, but Voluma is an HA-filler that lifts even more, lasts even longer than Radiesse and can be reversed.Men do love that masculine brow ridge!All the best, Dr. Clark
