Can facial fillers like Radiesse be used as a bone filler for bone loss in the big toe area? (Photo)

My big toe and side bone have what appear to look small mouse bites in 3 different spots. They aren't very big but I think the constant rubbing of the tissue against the bone splinters is why I have constant pain and some swelling.

Radiesse has been proven to NOT turn into bone or promote bone growth when injected to this area.  I use it on the bottom of the feet to supply support to athletes and those who wear high heals a lot.  Best, Dr. Emer.

In actuality Radiesse can be injected into these areas and give a temporary improvement. It won't replace bone but will provide a temporary cushion. I don't know how long it will last

Yes, radiesse will turn into a bone substitute if it is applied near the bone.  However, a consultation would be necessary to give you a definitive recommendation based on your needs.
