You are still very early in the postoperative recovery phase. The tissues are still very densely swollen and you will need to wait at least another 4 to 6 months until enough swelling goes away and the tissues relax becoming pliable enough to except a significantly larger implant. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. Due to the different phases of wound healing I would recommend you wait between 3-4 months before undergoing implant exchange. Best of luck
Intramuscular implants can improve volume by 400 cc or so, depending upon the size of the individual. A significant amount above this volume compromises healing by creating more tension on the healing incision. Recovery from buttock implants usually requires a more lengthy period of time than fat transfer augmentation. Your PS can provide the best estimate of your recovery which may extend to six months before considering a larger implant.
I typically recommend 3 months for the soft tissue to relax and heal around the initial augmentation. Sometimes it’s safer to wait longer. It all depends on how your tissues have progressed from the initial augmentation. Best
Dear Bbfbabyy2,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a butt augmentation surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
I would suggest waiting another month or two to allow that pocket to stretch and heal. At that point you and your surgeon can carefully pick a size that is right for your body type. Be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that specializes in such procedures.
The buttock implants have evolved and have become softer than earlier versions but they are still not as soft as breast implants. If done correctly, by the right surgeon and with the right implant size, they should look and feel natural. Be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that...
Although I deal with every patient on a case by case basis, my general recommendation is to wait at least six months after fat transfer before getting buttock implants. As the buttock implant surgeon, I can never be guaranteed that the fat was only placed above the muscle and not within the mus...
In most cases, removing the scar tissue is unnecessary. Leaving it behind often leaves the patient with a larger natural size than before putting them in and usually doesn't effect the comfort of the patient. Be sure to choose a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who specializes in this procedure ...
