How long does a butt implant incision take to heal?

Dear Chi,   Congratulation on selecting a butt implants surgeon who does a single entry incision between the cheeks ( my preferred) , unlike the horrible two incisions that some surgeons use and I see the patients  in my surgery center when they need revision surgery.   Like any surgery, you have to let the wound heal without exerting any strain on it. So, to protect the wound my patients do the followings.:1. Wear a protective Velcro binder for one month (24/7) .2. lie on the stomach or sides only for one month.3. They can sit, however they have to lean forward to avoid tension on the wound. I suggest to place a pillow on the back of the  sit , which forces you to lean forward.4. Avoid strenuous activity for 6 weeks (sex, gym, heavy lifting etc).   If you follow these instruction and your surgeon repaired the wound well (I use 4 layers), you should heal well within one month.                                       Best of luck,                                                       Dr Widder

your incisions should heal within 2-3 weeks.  I ask my patients to refrain from vigorous activity for 6 weeks post op. Be sure to choose a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in this procedure with a low complication rate

Not sure what exactly you are inquiring about but I can tell you that single central incisions in the butt crack to place buttock implants are notorious for wound healing complications such as separation and/or complete opening with implant exposure requiring removal. This typically occurs after the first week or two of surgery. If you’re wound is separated or split open whatsoever you need to revisit your operating surgeon for wound care instructions. Because of this high risk I only utilize two incisions to place buttock implants.
