Is 6 months enough time after a BBL to get butt implants?

Although I deal with every patient on a case by case basis, my general recommendation is to wait at least six months after fat transfer before getting buttock implants.  As the buttock implant surgeon, I can never be guaranteed that the fat was only placed above the muscle and not within the muscle too. Also, regardless of what tissue plane it that was placed the swelling and inflammation created by the buttock implant procedure will greatly accelerate the death of the fat if done too soon after the BBL. Hope this helps. 

After a six month recovery period following the BBL, butt implant surgery could be performed.  Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon who is an expert in both BBL and butt implant surgery to discuss the best plan for you to reach your ultimate goals.
