I was told by my ob/gyn that with PCOS I'd never get rid of my stubborn belly fat or be below 185. Was 240lbs, I'm now at 190. I don't care about weight just want my stomach gone. My D chest shrunk to a B and my butt is no longer a table, but my stomach has not budged and is the only part I want gone. Many DRs comment to be at low BMI or ideal weight. Realistically, would lipo work for me or would you recommend abdominoplasty? Or would either be a waste of money?
Answer: PCOS and abdominoplasty or liposuction Thank you for your question in your photo. You would be best served with a combination of liposuction and a abdominoplasty to address your concerns. We routinely perform this procedure called lipo-abdominoplasty in our practice. It's best to have a thorough in person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. Best of luck! Answer: VASER Hi Definition Liposuction / Body Contouring with Fat Grafting With or Without Tummy Tuck Without seeing photos it looks as if you are a candidate for liposuction with skin removal (tummy tuck). I suggest you see an expert for a formal evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Weight loss and surgery Congratulations on your weight loss! As for what procedure might be best for you, you would have to be seen in person. Many variables will factor into the decision about which procedure might be best.

Answer: Definition of "waste of Money" in Plastic Surgery We waste money every day on things which truly do not advance our interests. But Plastic Surgery is different because the procedure you undergo may not only be a waste of money, it may even hurt you.So, before having any operation you must understand and accept what it can and cannot do for you as well as what bad and undesired things (i.e. Complications) can happen to you. While your Plastic surgeon can explain to you what the operation can do for you and what complications are associated with the procedure, he/she cannot read your mind and carefully predict if the amount of improvement the procedure can achieve would be sufficient to may you happy.Put another way, no one except you really knows what you are trying to achieve and if the procedure can get you there. If it does not get you there and worse yet, if it does not get you there and you have complications, then it IS a waste of money and worse. With this understood, the BEST body contouring results can be achieved on women whose BMIs are at or below 27. When operating on BMIs of 30 and above not only are the results substandard but there are also a lot more complications. In other words, a SERIOUS waste of money.Where are you? How much of an improvement do you require to be happy AND how much risk are you willing to take on?No one can answer these questions except you.Can a Tummy Tuck or Lipo be done? Yes. Wiould it predictably yield a great result? No. Would such an average or worse result bmake you SUFFICIENTLY happy? Only you can answer this question.Hope this helped.Good LuckPeter Aldea MD

Answer: Abdominoplasty You look like you would be an excellent candidate for an abdominoplasty . The shape of your upper abdomen and lower abdomen let me believe that you have weakness of the muscles and excess skin from weight gain or pregnancy. I would suggest seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss the options .Good luck!
