Question

I am a 31 year old female who had two pregnancies. Had abdominal liposuction performed 8 months ago. Never have been overweight (underweight majority of my life) but never had a flat stomach either. Post op I did a few sessions of RF treatments. My navel area looks unpleasent and surrounding abdomen is not smooth (very bumpy). What are my options to fix this?

I suggest posting before and after photos.  It looks like you were more of a candidate for liposuction with skin removal and because you had such loose and lax skin before surgery it would be expected that you would have wrinkles/laxity after.  Please consult an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question and series of photographs.  I think you would most benefit from a full tummy tuck.   The tummy tuck will tighten your stomach muscles, helping to achieve a flatter appearance, while removing excess skin and adipose tissue while improving the area of skin around your navel.  Hope that this helps.

To my knowledge, there is no treatment that will improve the appearance of your umbilical area.  Of course you could have a tummy tuck and the umbilicus can be improved but you trade that for the long tummy tuck scar.  Discuss in detail with a board-certified plastic surgeon.  Best wishes.

Unfortunately, the wrinkling of the skin is due to the lack of elasticity of your skin from your prior pregnancies.  The only option at this point is a tummy tuck.  Best of luck.

A tummy tuck would be your best bet.    This would reposition your umbilicus and smooth out your abdominal skin.There would be the trade off of the tummy tuck incision but it should be worth it.   Your abdominal muscles can be tightened at the same time.    Some of the problematic skin can be removed.      My Best,  Dr Commons
