Uncomfortable Male mons pubis - reduction options? (Photo)

Question

I had lipo a few years back hoping to decrease the size, but I don't believe the doctor understood my needs. I'd like to know what my options are. One doctor suggested I may have a hernia. Excerise, sitting and sex are uncomfortable. I'd like some potential options if possible.

If your pubic area is loose and hangs lower than you like, you have had liposuction, and you don't have a hernia then you would benefit from a pubic lift.  This involves removing skin, and elevating and tightening your pubic area.  This can be done as an office-based procedure under minimal anesthesia.  I hope this information helps.Thomas Taylor, MD, FACSPasadena, CA

Is very difficult to properly comment on your complaint without examining you in person. There  very well may be a hernia, however it is hard to determine that without examining you and by just looking at the pictures. If there is a hernia, this can be repaired however I believe that you still need to remove some of the excess skin in the area. i hope that helps

Yes, from your photos, you do have excess tissue of your mons pubis, and this can be corrected by doing a reverse mini tummy tuck to  remove and lift the excess tissue above your penis.

Fullness of the mons can be a combination of fat and skin. The fat of the mons pubis is more dense and fibrous than the fat right above in the abdomen. Liposuction, if performed appropriately, can help reduce the size of the mons, however if there is excess skin which has stretched over the years, the skin must also be removed to help tighten and lift the area. A complete lift can be performed through direct skin and fat excision. The mons is not a typical area for hernia formation however an appropriate physical examination can help determine if that is the case. Best of luck!

If you have a hernia, that must be repaired first.  If you have localized adiposity, then liposuction will help.  If you have loose skin, it can be excised.

If liposuction did not work, then it could be removed by opening that area with small cut and removing the fat directly.
