What Are the opinions of therismooth after filler (4 months ago) and post bleph almost a year ago? I have read some reviews on here that it makes eye bags worse and melts the filler into lumps under the eye. Now I’m afraid to have this done
Answer: ThermiSmooth ThermiSmooth 250 is great for thin sagging skin under the eyes. It can be done after surgery after the tissues heal in a couple of months with no problems. Fillers should be done first and after a couple of weeks add the gentile heat of ThermiSmooth 250 for a great result. Hope this helps. JB

Answer: Thermismooth after restylane and eyelid surgery The answer to your question is yes. You can have thermismooth after fillers and surgery. Thermismooth will heat the tissues and have a tightening effect on the skin resulting in an improved appearance. In my practice, it is my preference to start with a series of thermismooth sessions prior to the eyelid surgery because the heated tissues with have improved blood flow , thus theoretically improve healing and minimize scarring. In this particular case, I would wait 3-4 months after the eyelid surgery for most of the swelling to subside before proceding with thermismooth.

Answer: ThermiSmooth after filler/bleph Thank you for your excellent question. ThermiSmooth treatment to the skin surrounding eyes one year after blepharoplasty is not a problem at all. In fact, it would be OK at just a few months after, as it promotes healing. With a hyaluronic acid fill, such as Restylane, ThermiSmooth can "cause" some bagginess or increased swelling, which is temporary. The fillers are hydrophilic, meaning, they tend to hold onto water and even draw water into the area, which is why everyone gets some swelling in the weeks following fillers and this is particularly obvious in the periorbital (around the eye) region, as the skin here is very thin and there is not much soft tissue between skin and bone. Usually after 3 months, this is less likely. I am not aware of any issues with ThermiSmooth causing lumpiness or impacting the long-term result, other than for the better, but short-term increases in swelling can definitely occur. I love ThermiSmooth and we get great results around the eyes! If I have a patient who wants fillers and ThermiSmooth, I would do the ThermiSmooth series first and then do the ThermiSmooth. If the patient has had fillers in the area being treated with ThermiSmooth, then I recommend waiting until 3 months after fillers for the first ThermiSmooth treatment, but I have made exceptions to that rule and have not experienced problems doing that.
