It's difficult to make long term judgements only 2 months after surgery--it usually takes about 6 months for swelling to subside and scar tissue in the area to mature and soften. Massage to the area can be helpful in moving things along. If your surgeon is at a loss to explain what is going on once the swelling has subsided and tissues softened, obtain a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to get their opinion.

Thank you very much for your question.From the pictures, it's actually not easy to make recommendations because they are so close.  Also, without an examination, it's not easy to assess the amount of glandular tissue vs. fat tissue vs. simple swelling that may be persistent (you're only 7 weeks postop).  I would continue to follow closely with your surgeon and follow their recommendations.  If you aren't happy with your doctor's recommendations or don't trust their care, you are always entitled to a second opinion.

The general rule of thumb is to wait at least six months before attempting a revision.  The idea is to wait for the skin to redrape to the final contour, and the residual swelling to subside completely. Nevertheless, you could ask for a second opinion if you are no longer happy with your doctor, or simply want to know the options. Good luck and I hope that helps.
