I had Botox two weeks ago. No improvements in the glabella area. I have a tightness there. When the muscles around the eyes relax, my brows go back to the curved, or furrowed position, defeating the purpose of the procedure. I've seen this doctor before, and he does a good job. But previously had to add injections after the initial visit. So, this time he adjusted by adding more during the initial visit. Is this the cause? How long will this last before improved results begin to surface?

It is difficult to say without an exam but I am thinking they may have injected outside of mentalis. The smile is a difficult place to treat with botox as it isn't just a simple single muscle. However, mentalis elevates the chin/lower lip so should not cause this result. The platysma bands can...

Botox treatments are best done 2 or more weeks before CO2. Botox reaches its full effectiveness at 2 weeks after injection; your CO2 results will benefit from decreased facial muscle movement while healing from the CO2.
