Thank you for sharing your question regarding your recent Botox experience. I recommend following up with your injector who preformed your initial treatment to discuss your concerns. He/she should be a reliable resource for you before, during, and after your treatment. As you may already know, Botox can take up to 10 days to fully take effect. Since you have waited a full 4 weeks, you can certainly return to your injector for assessment. Such a small amount of Botox is used to treat the upper lip that is completely safe to add additional units. Best of luck, Dr. Kian.
This is difficult to answer without pictures, but if you didn't get your desired results with Botox, you can get a touch up. Botox results take 1-2 weeks. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Yes, you can get touch ups if needed. You may not have had sufficient amount or the placement might have been off. Either way you can revisit with whoever did the procedure to have things corrected.
Yes, if you haven't achieved your desired results, you can have a touch-up of Botox. Results take 1-2 weeks. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can absolutely have additional Botox injected if needed. Typically, a smaller dose of Botox is used around the mouth as to not affect your smile or mouth movement and therefore, it may wear off quicker. I recommend addressing your concerns with your injector. Best of Luck!
That's a great question! You absolutely can have additional Botox injected if needed. Botox around the lips is very common but uses a much smaller dose than other areas that are treated. It is not unusual to require additional units. I hope this helps!
Yes, you can get Botox done a second time. In the upper lip area only a small number of units can be placed so that it does not affect your smile or mouth movement. Because it is such a light dose (usually between 2-8 units) it will wear off quicker than other areas of the face where a higher dose can be placed. So in this area you can get Botox around every 2 months instead of the usual 3-4 months because of the light dose. Another option is the dose can be titrated upwards to what you can tolerate and have effective for 3 months. However, Botox is meant to be preventative in this area, to change your habit of pursing or moving the mouth in a way that creates those lines. So typically it is not a visible result you would see immediately but rather a treatment used to prevent further damage in the long term. If you are looking for more immediate results in softening those lines we would consider adding in a C02 resurfacing procedure or a filler such as Volbella to soften the upper lip lines.
It would be important to see your current photos. If you get another injection, make sure that the Botox has been recently shipped to the office. Preferably have it mixed the same day prior to your injection. If you have to wait until the office has a few patients before they order, I would do that. If you get the repeat injection and it does not work, then the issue may be that the lines in your lip are too deep and alternative therapies may be needed.
the answer is yes. you can have additional botox placed in that area. It is important to use conservative doses of botox in this area as it could compromise your smile. You should be re-evaluated by your doctor.
Botox can be used for a number of different purposes in the upper lip from treating the fine lines to the socalled lip flip. it certainly can be done again but if you did not get results you might consider seeing a different doctor
