I’m sorry to hear about your recent Botox experience. It looks like some of the Botox has affected the muscles of expression in the lower lips. Sorry to hear about your Botox experience. Unfortunately, I suspect you will need to wait for the Botox to wear off over the next 3-4 months before your smile returns to normal. I would followup with your physician to discuss your results.

It is difficult to say without an exam but I am thinking they may have injected outside of mentalis. The smile is a difficult place to treat with botox as it isn't just a simple single muscle. However, mentalis elevates the chin/lower lip so should not cause this result. The platysma bands can be injected with botox easily. I don't think the lower lip of the smile looks terrible but it is definitely an issue to not be able to speak and smile at the same time. You need an exam to see which muscles are affected

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. This is exactly the reason why so few people should have injections of Botox in the chin area. A smile is a very complex mechanical movement created by multiple muscles on the face. Any disturbance in the balance will create an unusual smile. There is very little you can do at this point in time until the botox wears off (2-4 months). The only thing you can do at this point in time, is have your platysma muscles injected with botox so that they are not straining during  while you're smiling.
