Bra Line & Back lift information? (photos)

Question

I'm searching for an experienced surgeon for bra line back lifts (assuming that's what it's called). I'm a mother of 3 and will be getting married in August 2016. I'd like to know if the lift will also eliminate the upper "side" fat that's in the second photo...it's all connected but I need expert advice.

For smaller areas of fullness in the back/bra line area liposuction is great.  A small fold can often be significantly reduced or even eliminated.  When there is extra skin that hangs, liposuction isn't enough.  That skin just needs to be removed with an upper back lift.  In this surgery a crescent of skin is excised, thereby removing the extra tissue.  The procedure is designed for the scar runs straight across the back in the bra line area, so a bra can potentially cover the area.  Based on the pictures that is was is needed.  The front part of the incision ends at that lateral aspect of the breast.  Best of luck.

Thank you for your question regarding the bra line and back lift. Thank you also for including your history and pictures. Based on your pictures I would strongly suggest a back lift. Other names for the back lift include bra strap plasty, bra plasty, bra lift and horizontal torsoplasty. All these names describe the procedure where an incision is made across your back underneath the bra strap line. From this back incision tissue dissection is carried down your back to your folds. The attachment from the folds are then disinserted. A large butterfly area of skin and fat is then removed and the back is lifted. You should see complete elimination of these back rolls. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 3-4 hours to complete. You will have a drain on each side for approximately 5 days. Postoperatively you are encouraged to sleep on your back to minimize the swelling. You will wear a compression garment for approximately 4-6 weeks. Overall, the surgery is a highly rewarding one for the patient and surgeon. You should obtain excellent results. Please remember to bring your bra on the day of surgery so the incision can be placed underneath reasonable clothing specifically the bra. You are an excellent candidate for an upper back lift, also known as a torsoplasty. Since the majority of your concern is loose skin, the most effective solution would be surgical skin removal. Liposuction alone would not allow the skin to retract properly and could potentially worsen the looseness. This procedure is ideal for addressing your specific concerns and is likely to deliver outstanding results. Additionally, it can help further define and enhance the waistline.

Based on your photos, upper back lift surgery (sometimes called a bra line back lift) may be a good option to improve the shape, contour, and overall appearance of your upper back, mid back, and waist. This surgery also helps improve the appearance of back rolls in those areas. Congratulations, Mom, on your engagement and your weight loss!  Your photos demonstrate significant upper back skin laxity and some fullness in the bra roll.  I agree with my colleague that you may be a candidate for an upper back lift with supplemental liposuction, and you should know that these procedures are commonly performed on patients who have achieved weight loss, either on their own or with the assistance of a bariatric procedure.  These procedures can be very gratifying to patients when planned thoughtfully and executed well.
