I'm searching for an experienced surgeon for bra line back lifts (assuming that's what it's called). I'm a mother of 3 and will be getting married in August 2016. I'd like to know if the lift will also eliminate the upper "side" fat that's in the second photo...it's all connected but I need expert advice.

A small fold can often be significantly reduced or even eliminated. When there is extra skin that hangs, liposuction isn't enough. That skin just needs to be removed with an upper back lift. In this surgery a crescent of skin is excised, thereby removing the extra tissue. The procedure is designed for the scar runs straight across the back in the bra line area, so a bra can potentially cover the area. Based on the pictures that is was is needed. Answer: Bra Line and Back Lift Information Thank you for your question regarding the bra line and back lift. Thank you also for including your history and pictures. Based on your pictures I would strongly suggest a back lift. Other names for the back lift include bra strap plasty, bra plasty, bra lift and horizontal torsoplasty. All these names describe the procedure where an incision is made across your back underneath the bra strap line. From this back incision tissue dissection is carried down your back to your folds. The attachment from the folds are then disinserted. A large butterfly area of skin and fat is then removed and the back is lifted. You should see complete elimination of these back rolls. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately 3-4 hours to complete. You will have a drain on each side for approximately 5 days. Postoperatively you are encouraged to sleep on your back to minimize the swelling. You will wear a compression garment for approximately 4-6 weeks. Overall, the surgery is a highly rewarding one for the patient and surgeon. You should obtain excellent results. Please remember to bring your bra on the day of surgery so the incision can be placed underneath reasonable clothing specifically the bra.
