Thanks for your question! It depends on your frame, size, and how you want your breasts to look. Schedule a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options. Best wishes!
Dear Sathika.A breast reduction is not a risky operation in many ways. However, the more breast tissue You remove the higher the risk can be concerning the round shape of the breast and, even more important, concerning the blood supply and wound healing afterwards. From Your height and weight I would recommend a big B or a small C cup. However, more information and pictures are needed for a complete consultation.
Thank you for your question. If you are truly a "F" cup I would think your surgeon of choice would be able to get you close to a full "C"/ small "D". There are some determining factors that go into determining cup size. I would suggest speaking with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options.
Hello @Sathika, thank you for your question. It is important to develop a surgical plan or non surgical protocol that fits your possibilities, to fulfill your wishes for improvement and to take into account what can actually be achieve. I would encourage you to schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. For more information and recommendations, it is best to consult one or more board-certified plastic surgeons. Best wishes! Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS.
You can go about as small as you want. That would be a discussion with you and your surgeon to determine what size would be best for you and your goals. A lot of insurance companies will require a certain amount of grams be taken off but don't max that out if that makes sense. They just want to make sure that enough is taken off to make a difference in the patients symptoms. If this is something that is done cosmetically then of course that wouldn't matter and you and your surgeon can discuss the size you would like to be without having to deal with the insurance guidelines. Hope that answers your question.
Hello, thank you for your question. You can as small as you would like. In some instances we remove mostly all the breast tissue. So its really up to you and what your concerns are.
There are many techniques for breast reduction, depending on the size of the breasts and goals in final breast size. Most standard breast reduction techniques maintain a tissue “sling” to maintain blood supply and sensation to the nipple, so ultimately, this limits the amount of reduction. To go smaller, the nipple can be removed and placed on the breast mound after the breast is reduced. In this scenario, the nipple is moved without its own blood supply. The nipple will be permanently numb. You will not be able to breast feed. The nipple graft may not survive completely, so the nipple may have a funny color or shape. I would consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon, experienced in breast reduction, to discuss your goals and what can be accomplished.
Dear Sathika, breast reduction is best suited for women who wish to decrease the size of their breasts. While there are different techniques used to perform this surgery, I prefer the vertical incision (lollipop pattern) breast reduction technique instead of the anchor scar pattern, which reduces more noticeable scarring than usual. I also use a SAFE liposuction technique to reduce additional fat around the stubborn axilla area and bra line. This way, my patients are achieving beautiful results with minimal incisions which reduces downtime and delivers an overall better breast shape long term.If you are considering breast reduction surgery, you should consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options and make sure your surgeon understands your goals. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hi there, technically it is up to you, but most women go with a large C/small D. Realistically anything from a large B to a DDD is possible. I would recommend a large C/small D. Please meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon and review before and after photos. Good luck!
Hello, thanks for your question. You can have a significant reduction in your breast to make you feel comfortable, avoiding pain or esthetic discomfort. The amount depends on your physical condition, so you need an in-person exam with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area. Good luck!
