Hi akhialex. A chemical peel will generally not penetrate deep enough to destroy hair follicles. If it were to do this you would undoubtedly be burning into the supporting layer of the skin (the dermis) too deeply and would end up with scarring. Hairs on the face are best removed using laser for darker hairs and lighter hairs there are options such as epilation or dermaplaning (use of a surgical blade to exfoliate the upper layers of the skin - with the side effect of removing the downy hair of your face).
Chemical peels will not remove hair or effect the hair follicles. They do soften and smooth the texture of the skin and provide a nice exfoliation.Your options for hair removal include lasers and dermaplane. Laser hair removal requires 6-8 sessions and should achieve 80% or more reduction in the hair growth. Dermaplane involves scraping the skin with an aesthetic tool. It's primary purpose is exfoliation, but it will also remove the fine hairs on the face. This is not permanent, but usually lasts about 4 weeks. Best of luck to you.
Chemical Peels helps shed the superficial layer of the skin to achieve a nice refreshed face. The treatment itself does not remove any hair. Permanent laser hair reduction will help thin the hair in that area. It's a quite a commitment where 6-8 sessions are needed and the appointments shouldn't be missed or you will have to start over.
A light chemical peel will not remove any hair or destroy/remove the hair follicle. The only treatments to destroy the hair follicle would be Laser Hair Removal or Electrolysis. Some treatments like Dermal-planning can shave the hairs, but they will quickly return as the follicle was not destroyed or affected in any way.
