I haven’t been able to find much on this topic, but I’m wondering if I’d be able to have both? If I get filler and then the piercing, will the filler leak out? If I get the piercing and then filler, will the doctor be unable to make me look evenly plumped up? I’ve attached a photo of the piercing in question, the dermal anchor length is shown, I’m not sure if filler sits above or below the depth of the anchor.
Answer: Filler and dermal anchors Typically, the filler is placed much deeper under the skin when augmenting the cheekbone area whether using Voluma, most common or one of the Restylane products or even Radiesse. Fat can also be used to augment the cheeks and that is also placed well below the skin. For those reasons you can have a cheek filler and also have a dermal implant. I would wait at least two weeks between the filler and implant so that there is less risk of contamination or an infection. The filler itself will not leak out.

Answer: Can I get cheekbone filler and have a dermal anchor piercing? Thank you for your questions. The answer is that one should not prevent the other, but I would consider spacing them out in time. The dermal filler on the cheek is usually placed deep down on the bone, whereas the piercing is in the superficial layers underneath the skin. But if you were to do both at the same time, it is possible if their were an infection or complication, one could seed the other with bacteria and cause a problem.Hope this helps!Dallas R. Answer: Piercing and fillers Well, My ears are pierced and I put fillers in right around the piercings and have never had any trouble with them. I would space the procedures several weeks apart in time because I do worry about microfilm formation if bacteria introduced. I don't know much about these piercings but that I might actually pierce first and let it fully heal for weeks before filling with hope that the piercing gets walled off and is then separated from the filler.

Answer: Fillers and piercing The short answer is Yes you can. However, an experienced injector will be necessary and I would suggest a less is more approach. It would be best to engage in an arrangement with someone who is willing to achieve a partial result if that seems appropriate with the plan of adding further filler if no complications ensue. The downside of the piercing would be it could introduce infection in the area that would require antibiotics and careful observation to avoid scarring. So proceed cautiously but it is again a reasonable option to pursue.

Answer: Filler and Piercing I don't see an issue with it. No, the filler will not leak out. Since cheek filler is deep under the skin and the piercing is through the skin, neither should interfere with the other. A good injector will make sure there is good symmetry.
