What do I have dent over brow for & why after 5 separate incisions & $5900 later are my brows not symmetrical or at least raised? (And lids are just as saggy and wrinkled as b4 !) What do I do??? I just wanted my eyelids to look less crepey! I had no forehead wrinkles or crows feet to address... Please advise!
Answer: Brow lift Hello Young43, I am sorry to hear you are having difficulties following your surgery. The dent is an unexpected occurrence from this type of procedure. This can be due to atrophy of the muscle of the forehead when it is cut, injury to the skin on the undersurface, or faulty reattachment of the skull lining during your healing phase. There are treatments such as fillers as temporizing measures, or fat grafting as a more permanent solution.Without examining you, physically feeling the tissue, assessing your desired outcome, taking a full medical history, and discussing the pros and cons of any treatments it is difficult to be comprehensive. The other option is to raise the forehead skin and allow the periosteum to reattach flat, but this would require another surgery.I would seek opinions from a board certified facial plastic surgeon. There are several in the charlotte, chapel hill area who can help.Good luck.Dr. Shadfar

Answer: What is this weird ugly Indention over brow & why is there no raise after brow lift to help sagging upper eyelid skin? Unfortunately you have a failed result of an endoscopic forehead lift with a dent complication from the surgery. As for the asymmetry to shape and location of the eyebrows surgery will correct. But maybe a directed BOTOX injections could help? The dent can be corrected by fillers or fat grafts. I must disagree with my esteemed colleague of not seeing post op forehead dents, I see them more often then not.
