Is it possible to lower the position of eyebrows to give a hooded-eyes look? (Photo)

i know that botox can lower the eyebrows but can it give you a hooded-eyes look? that's what i'm interested in. i read that it can be achieved with a reverse brow lift but i wanna know for sure. eyes on the before-photo aren't mine but they look similar. i wanna go from THAT to "after"/"sean o'pry". is it possible? thank you!

Lowering eyebrows can be done but without exact measurements. Therefore I would advise against this.

Hello nightlencer, This is an interesting question.  Yes this is possible.  Most often physicians aim to NOT drop the brow and try to avoid hooding. However, it is not unreasonable for men to have a low brow.  This can be accomplished with any neuromodulator (botox, dysport, xeomin).Care must be taken to not drop the eyelid in addition to the brow.I would seek consultation with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to discuss your options.Good luck.Dr. Shadfar

Botox is definitely the easiest way to simulate that appearance.  Paralyzingly the frontalis muscle low where dynamic brow movement occurs without hitting the central and lateral brow depressors would likely achieve that.  Surgically the procedure that would mimic that is a forehead lowering procedure which could be modified to lower the brow somewhat but this would.not be as predictable or durable. Filling the area in the brow skin can also help partially achieve that appearance.

Of course, most patients ask for the brows to be elevated.  However, you can reset in a the eyebrows in a lower position of the eyebrow with Botox or surgery.  Whether it will give a hooded look depends on your particular anatomy.  An in-office consultation would help sort this out.  Best wishes.
