I know that I have a bulbous nose tip, but that isn't so bothersome. I don't like the "flare" I believe that the bottom portion of my nose is slightly wide and not parallel to the corners of my eyes. I do not want (nor can I afford) a full rhinoplasty. Also, I would rather not be put under general anesthesia. Would I see any results with an alarplasty alone? I've already been told that my bridge and dorsum are fine, as it fits my overal face.

Except for your nose being a bit crooked, it looks pretty good on the frontal view. Also, it is generally not a great idea to break down a rhinoplasty into its component parts and pick on just one area.
Dear readytoshineLA, I would be very careful when considering alar base reduction with your nose. I would suggest seeking some consultations with experts in the field and discuss your concerns and after a full examination candidacy would be determined. Personally I only use an internal incision...
8 days is still too early to judge your results. Swelling will take months to decrease so that you can judge on the very smallest of details. It can be difficult to wait during the rhinoplasty recovery period, but please try to be patient and follow up with your surgeon.
