I had BBL on 12/16/15 and my legs and feet are extremely swollen. Is this normal? I wear my garment 24/7 (Photo)

Swelling can be normal after aggressive liposuction/BBL. The amount is different for every patient and the length of time that it is experienced is also different. It is always best to see your doctor if this occurs to rule out something more dangerous like a DVT. I recommend to my patients to wear the compression garment 24/7 for 4 weeks (only take it off to shower). If it becomes loose, then I ask them to purchase a new one that is tighter. Try to put your feet up above the level of your heart to help the swelling go down. In a worst case scenario the swelling can be intermittent for months and months (up to one year) but more frequently it last a few weeks and then goes away.

You are still early in the healing process, it can take up to six months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you are in, inflammation is normal.
I suggest my patients try the lymphatic massages and to use a full body compression garment, 24/7 for the first 3 months, and after that, for 12 hours a day for 3 more months, to get the best results.
It is important for the compression garment to be very tight, for it to help with the swelling, after surgery. Please, follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

Hi and Merry Christmas for you and your family.When the garment is not well adjusted ( not wrinkle) and you are too much time sit this may happen,also you are not to sleep with the compression garment, use it only during the day.
