7 yr old chipped her front tooth. What treatment would you recommend?

Child chipped a little piece of front tooth-no blood, no loose tooth, no pain.She is 7 & her teeth have mamelons so she hit her tooth near them.It looks like a little deeper groove now,but not very visible.The dentist xrayed it and said it looks good.She said she could put a tiny piece of bonding on it, the missing space is about 1.25 mm high, but that she thought it would even out over time as her teeth become flat from normal wear and tear.Any thoughts on how to correct this /will it be okay?

Your dentist sure knows what she is doing!   Good advice.  I would follow it for my own child too. The less you can do to teeth the better...in the longer term of her life span (she might live to be 120 yrs old) I always take the approach that being conservative of tooth structure on  a natural tooth is the best action I can take.  Please make sure you keep taking her to the dentist every 6 months - that way the tooth can be monitored.
