Can a type of veneer help with one crooked tooth????

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
In my opinion you have only one option and that is braces. To try to fix your tooth with a veneer would create a mess that you would have to deal with for the rest of your life.  Do the right thing and go talk to an orthodontist.  Good luck!

8 upper porcelain veneers 10 wks ago, cant bite anything with front teeth, so painful and sensitive, what can i do?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
You need to return to the dentist who did your work and let them help you.  If that does not work then a second opinion is in order.  Good luck!

I'm 23 and still have a canine milk tooth. What would be the effective treatment? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
I would sub best you start by consulting an orthodontist.  It is hard to say as the radiograph is small but it appears you have an impacted cuspid.  They can be retrieved but it takes a good orthodontist and oral surgeon to do it.  Start with an orthodontist and see what your options are.  Good luck!

Dental contouring, veneers, or bonding?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
I would suggest you get a second opinion with a good cosmetic dentist before any enamel is removed from your teeth.  Your orthodontist may be right but it doesn't hurt to get a second opinion before anything is done. Good luck!

Had teeth cleaned by laser and it seemed to burn my front gums. Is that normal? Now it looks like have gum disease. (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
It is hard to tell from the pictures what has happened.  Normally it is not a good thing to "burn" the gums during cleaning.  Also you appear to have significant recession on one of your front teeth that may need grafting.  I would consult with a Periodontist to see if this is needed.  I suspect the effects of the laser will heal but if not, again, a Periodontist should be consulted.  Good luck!

Root canal tooth with no crown. Should I have a crown?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
We do usually recommend a crown for a tooth that has had a root canal treatment.  The teeth usually have large restorations and a crown can protect the tooth.  Find a dentist you can trust and who does good work.  The tooth may be savable.  Good luck!

Why is my bottom jaw not straight with my top jaw? Is it because I have no teeth? What do I need to do to get it fixed? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Unfortunately we simply do not have enough information to answer your questions.  I would suggest you make an appointment with a dentist you trust and have an evaluation done.  They will answer your questions and get you started on your treatment.  Good luck!

A piece of my front tooth was chipped/cracked and it fell out....i now have a gap in my tooth.

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
It would be a very simple procedure to have some composite filling material placed in the area of the break.  The bigger issue is what caused the piece to come out.  Your upper and lower anterior teeth are showing severe wear which is likely the reason your upper tooth fractured.  You need to discuss this with your dentist to see how you can protect your teeth from the grinding you are likely doing.  Good luck!

My jaw has shifted to the left and the doctor recommends I get dental bridges! Would this work?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Unfortunately we simply don't have enough information to give you good advice.  Have your dentist explain the reason for the treatment.  If you still have questions a second opinion might be a good idea.  Good luck!

There is a small chip in my front tooth, that I'd like to get repaired. What is the best least-painful method to do so? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
A small filling using composite can easily be done to repair this chip.  It is unlikely you will even need to be numbed up.  Very easy fix.  Good luck!
