Question

i used to be able to breathe perfect thru my nose. When I hit puberty i saw a small bump and got insecur about it. for months i pressed on the bridge with fair pressure (but no pain) to try to smooth out the bump, in hopes it would eventually look a bit straighter. I got obsessive about it and pressed on it on my free time. I eventually had problems breathing (right nostril for months) and went to an ENT. He said I have a deviated septum? Did I cause this ! :( Also my nose looks crooked:(

The crooked nature and breathing problems can be addressed at the same time through a closed rhinoplasty approach.Find a board certified plastic surgeon who has performed hundreds of rhinoplasties.  Look for great reviews and great before

Trauma can lead to a deviated septum.  This trauma can come in the form of a constant pressure.  The cartilages of the nose can warp.  However, it is more likely that your growth spurt during puberty led to the septal deviation.

Probably not.  I have not seen an studies that show that constant pressure on the top of your nose can influence how it grew. Trauma to the growth centers of the bone and nasal septum in your younger years certainly can change the shape and deviate the septum.
