At 7 weeks post-op, it’s still too early to tell if that will be your final result. Swelling from liposuction can persist for up to 6 months, and it can be uneven, where one side swells a bit more than the other. If you are still unhappy with your results after 6 months, follow up with your surgeon to discuss smoothing these irregularities. Sometimes a non-invasive treatment can correct subtle defects or a revision procedure can be done. It is also helpful to review your pre-operative photos. Sometimes there is a spinal curvature or other issue that might make one side different from the other and more difficult to correct. If this is the case, the surgeon should ideally point this out at the time of your pre-operative consultation so that you have realistic expectations. Good luck.
You look like you have a nice change so far. You do look uneven in the photo, but many post op lipos look uneven for several weeks because the swelling goes away unevenly and this may all look great in another 6 weeks. Follow up with your surgeon.
you likely will need a touch up with a hi definition procedure or a non invasive option (sculpsure, coolsculpting, liposonix, ultrashape etc) to the area on the one side that did not retract or have has much fat removed evenly. Best, Dr. Emer.
Give it a total of 6 months as it takes time for everything to settle and swelling to resolve. Then, if still an issue, discuss with your surgeon.
It looks like you had a significant abdominal pannus and when the skin retracted back it did not do so as well on the one side. Is it loose skin or fatty tissue?
Any type of liposuction technique works on a good candidate. There is the issue! Where you a candidate for just liposuction? Now post lipo can recommend a touch up lipo after 6 months healing. I might have offered a more aggressive lipo, you had only 1,300 cc's of fat removed! To me you needed more volume out and better sculpting. Or a combination of mini TT + lipo. I bet you were done under local anesthesia only? There is another issue!
HI there, thank you for your question. Although I understand your concern its not too unusual to have some irregular contours in the areas that have had liposuction. If they are still present after 6 months it would very reasonable to discuss it with your surgeon about revision surgery.
Hi and thanks for posting your question! You are still quite early postop to tell if this will be your final result from liposuction. I typically tell my patients that their final result and reduction of swelling should be expected at 4-6 months post procedure. if the areas of concern persist at this point, it would be reasonable to discuss revision liposuction with your surgeon.Best wishes!!
I strongly urge you against having plastic surgery procedures with a doctor who is not a board certified plastic surgeon. There is a reason surgeons have to go through so much training and become board certified in order to perform plastic surgery procedures. Going to an uncertified doctor just...
Swelling and soreness is commonly experienced after a liposuction procedure and it is expected. The majority of your swelling will subside within 6 weeks post op, but there will still be residual swelling during the healing process for about 9 months. If you have any concerning symptoms, you...
By the term lipo light, I'm assuming you're talking about some type of laser liposuction. From the photos you have included, it would be my opinion that a tummy tuck to address the laxity of the overlying skin would better treat your condition. Only an exam by a qualified plastic surgeon can ...
