Will my septum scar after rhinoplasty disappear, and is it swollen too? (photos)

Question

I feel like the part of my septum where my scar is goes on a downhill slope causing my whole nose to look off/bad and I'm wondering if this was bad reconnecting on the surgeons part or if it is swollen too and that will subside along with the rest of my nose swelling. It appears that the scar line is broken up into two different levels, as seen in the photo. I'm very concerned about this. Photos are attached. Thank you

The tissue from the open rhinoplasty is swollen and creates a step-off next to the skin that was untouched.  It takes time for the selling to go down--a year is not unusual.  Ask your doctor if he or she has any other thoughts about how to accelerate the process

I think you mean your transcolumellar incision.  This may be related to swelling and healing. Give the scar a full year and sometimes longer to mature. Best of luck.

Scars mature over time and continue to improve for years. See your surgeon and express your concerns. This will allow your surgeon to either reassure you or will offer a time to consider alternative scar treatments.
