I am 5.0/ 101 lbs with fat around my back and abdomen area. My doctor is recommending to have a cell saver in the surgery. I have a vegetarian diet and have been in birth control pills for my cysts. Is it safe for me to use a cell saver during my BBL surgery? Please help me understanding
Answer: Liposuction and Cell Saver Typically for someone your size it would not be expected that you would lose much blood during the procedure. So from a blood loss perspective a cell saver would probably not be necessary at all. Best of Luck Dr Harrell

Answer: Cell Saver and Liposuction Are you going to a PLASTIC SURGEON for your liposuction? Liposuction is not a high blood loss procedure when done correctly. The cell saver is just an unnecessary extra cost. If you’re prone to bleeding or have a coagulopathy, perhaps elective surgery is not the best choice.
